DANIEL GIL

Se trata de uno de los grandes diseñadores gráficos que ha habido en este país. Los que nos criamos leyendo los libros en rústica (What is the English for "rústica"?) de Alianza Editorial, hace ya bastantes años, no olvidamos la eficacia, simplicidad y originalidad de sus portadas.
    Daniel Gil nació en Santander, y, como tantos antes y después que él (aun hoy es así, lamentablemente), tuvo que emigrar a una gran ciudad para ejercer su talento y vivir del mismo... No parece que esto lleve camino de cambiar significativamente, por cierto; más bien lo contrario. Anyway!...
    En breve se inaugurará una exposición sobre su obra; aquí, en su tierra. Yo no me la pienso perder... Leed ahora, si os interesa, un artículo aparecido recientemente en el DM.

Algunos habréis reparado en que hay algunas palabras que destacan en negrita y con un color distinto que el resto: se trata de términos que creo que tienen un interés especial, por su importancia y frecuencia de uso, o porque resultan especialmente relevantes en la asignatura de Educación Plástica y Visual (Art).
    Si "pincháis" sobre dichas palabras o expresiones, surgirá una página enlazada, que suele ser una traducción al español en WordReference.com.

"The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time" (Links & Files)

Hi, pupils! I am offering you the possibility of downloading the book "The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time" (Mark Haddon is its author), just by clicking HERE. 
    Obviously, you don´t have to read the whole book; just THIS EXCERPT (click). Once you have read it, you should sum it up and adapt it into a cartoon -that is to say: a number of illustrations- can describe the situation and tell the story in a logical sequence.
    Good luck and don´t ever feel discouraged!

Me pongo en contacto con los que se estén ya interesando en las actividades previstas. Quisiera deciros que NO ME ES POSIBLE COMPARTIR con vosotros CARPETAS COMPLETAS de entre algunos de mis trabajos (al menos, no con los medios a mi disposición y hasta donde mis conocimientos alcanzan a día de hoy, 30 de octubre de 2011).
    Esto nos limita bastante, pues no pocos de mis archivos se almacenan junto a otros que se encuentran "enlazados" a aquéllos; o, incluso, varios entre sí. Por lo tanto, los documentos "interactivos" sólo serán archivos de acceso y lectura directa, sin conexión a los "links" de imágenes que yo, habitualmente, he programado.
    En consecuencia y no obstante: en breve elaboro una entrada con los "links" que sean imprescindibles para iniciar, por fin, el PROYECTO DEL CÓMIC (the one that deals with the excerpt from "The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time"). Firtsly, I am going to explain to you how this blog will be structured. As you can see, the book that we are using has three different Blocks:

- VISUAL COMMUNICATION

- THE FORM / SHAPES

- GEOMETRY

Basically, this is the current structure of the blog. It doesn´t mean that nothing can be changed: for sure many things will be transformed, removed or added... and, hopefully, the whole thing will improved, little by little. For instance, it will include a set of regular sections:

- ACTIVITIES & PROJECTS
- INTERESTING LINKS
- GRAMMAR & VOCABULARY

Well... It´s going to be quite difficult to fulfil all these goals, but step by step, maybe with some help from you, we will manage... Thanks to all of you.
